How to Make Money from Old Plastic Waste Baskets

Are you having a lot of spoiled or old plastic waste baskets at home and don’t want to know what to do with them? Do you know that you can also make money from such baskets you kept at home?

Plastic waste baskets are non-biodegradable materials, which means that if they are disposed of at landfills or waterways, they won’t be able to compost by biological activities like other biodegradable materials.

So disposing of these baskets at landfills or waterways won’t be good for the enhancement of your environment, though, we can use them as a means of income.

However, in this article, I will share with you tips on how to make money from your old or spoiled plastic waste basket.

1. Sell them online

There are a lot of online stores that gladly buy old items. However, it all depends on the quality of the item.

Though, there are procedures and rules involved when selling any used basket. While most only would ensure the basket is not old enough, others would gladly buy it from you.

However, all online stores have their policy, but here, I will discuss with you the few measures involved in selling old waste baskets online.

If you want to sell your waste baskets online, here are a few things to take note of:

Keep them clean: It should be free from dirt or debris.

No one will want to buy a waste basket that is filled with dirt and is not clean.

It should not be old enough or torn out: A basket that is torn out won’t likely perform its function.

So, if you are trying to sell your old waste baskets online, already make sure they are not torn out.

Nevertheless, selling your old basket in online stores is one of the profitable ways to make money from it.

You can sell it by using online stores such as our “Market Place” here on the website, Facebook market, Amazon, and so on.

2. Recycling

How to Make Money from Old Plastic Waste Baskets

Another best way to make money from your old plastic waste baskets is by recycling them into a new product or a new basket and selling them off.

Since plastics are non-biodegradable and can cause a lot of damage to the environment, recycling them would be a great way to make money from them.

However, it’s not just only about you recycling them but the process involved. Most plastic companies have a way of collecting plastic. And in this section, I will explain the procedures involved.

i. The collection stage

At this point, most companies have firms in different locations around the globe. This first helps to collect plastics from the locales, clean them, sort them out before transferring them to the manufacturing companies.

They (the locale collection firms) can also serve as dealers for these companies and in return, they earn from the plastics transferred to the company which brings a win-win game for both.

ii. Reselling

After these manufacturing companies have collected the plastics and paid the dealers, they process them following the normal procedure of recycling.

Once they are recycled, they are molded into a new product, or the same plastic waste baskets and are being sold back to the world.

This process helps these companies to save time and as well resources that would be used in making these products.

Finding a recycling firm in your neighborhood, you can do so with the help of Google, by typing the keyword “Plastic Recycling Near Me”.

Thrift stores are not places where unused products are dumped off but are places where we can sell out products that we no longer use but can also be used by someone else.

Thrift stores are places you can sell off old or unused products such as plastic waste baskets at a low price, depending on their quality.

Selling your old baskets at thrift stores, it will also be sold out to others in need if it is still intact and not old enough for disposal.
